plant ecology &

restoration ecology

researcher at the University of Colorado, Boulder

We live in a time of dramatic global change, but also profound opportunity for solving environmental problems.

As a researcher, I am committed to answering questions that can inform the management, conservation, and restoration of ecosystems.

Research in Plant Ecology

As a PhD Student at the University of Colorado, Boulder, I am working on several projects that improve our general understanding of how plant communities and ecosystems work.

My current research focuses on grasslands and urban forest ecosystems in the Front Range of Colorado.

Science-Policy Integration

I am excited to translate my research findings into information that is useful for policymakers at the local, state, and federal level. I am also keen to advocate for government support for scientific research.

I believe as scientists, we must integrate science–policy into our outreach, teaching and advocacy.

Leadership & Service

I believe strongly in the principle that everyone has a responsibility to contribute to the shared governance of the institutions in which they work.

At CU Boulder, I am working collaboratively to find solutions to institutional challenges, in service of the university’s mission of providing excellent teaching, research, and outreach.

Teaching & Mentorship

As a PhD Student, I’m committed to providing quality teaching and mentorship in research for undergraduate students.
